This could be an internal tool, an application for preparing and processing data, your own smartphone app or software for a very specific use case. A solution you operate yourself can reduce your dependence on subscription software services (SaaS) and give you more control over data, features and future development.
We start by describing the key tasks: who uses the application, which information they need and what result they expect. An initial prototype makes the interface and scope tangible.
I then build the application and test it with you against the agreed tasks. Existing data can be transferred. If other programs need to be connected, we clarify which information they should exchange and which interfaces are available.
We agree where the application will run, who can access it and how its data will be backed up. If your own IT team will operate it, I coordinate the technical foundation and setup with them.
You receive the source code and documentation covering setup, operation and further development. This enables your IT team to maintain and extend the application after handover. If you would like further support from me, we agree its scope. Hosting and external service costs are discussed in advance.

Many functions can run locally on the device. We agree which data and tasks need to be available offline. Synchronisation and connected online services still require a connection.
The application is structured to support future development. You receive the source code and the documentation your own IT team or other developers need to continue working on it. If you wish, I can handle later changes and new features.
